George and Matty are the most unlikely pairing! George is a 5 month old ginger tabby, domestic short hair neutered male and Matty is a 9 year old black and white domestic shorthair neutered male.
These two came in to the rescue at different times. George came in to the rescue as a feral kitten after three years of trying to trap and neuter his mummy. Matty came in to the rescue after his owner sadly passed away.
George was completely feral when he arrived and Matty was a bit lonely, but an adorable cuddle monster, so we decided to put George in a kitten crate in Matty’s room in the hope that he would observe Matty’s affectionate side and it would hopefully rub off on the feisty kitten. At the time Matty was an entire male, so we did not think for a minute that he would have an interest in the kitten at all!
Well within five minutes we had a budding bromance brewing between the bars of the kitten crate, after 24 hours of Matty only leaving the kitten crate side to eat and go to the toilet, we thought we would see what they were like without the bars in between.
It was so cute, the Bromance grew even stronger, they sleep together, eat together, clean each other and play non stop!
Matty’s lovely nature did indeed rub off on George and it was not long before we had a purring kitten! As you can imagine, after a response like this we can’t possibly separate them!
Although these two are completely different they actually need a very similar home environment. We are looking for an adult home with no young children or other cats and dogs , with an owner that has the patients to give these two time to settle in and allow George the time to get to know you.
George and Matty are fully vaccinated, neutered, micro chipped, up to date with all flea treatment and wormer and come with 5 weeks free insurance. If you feel you could offer George and Matty a home either call 02380 893188 or e-mail [email protected]
